Mylène Choquette is a licensed couple and family therapist, psychotherapist and creative arts therapist with a strong background in trauma therapy. She has five years' experience in community and institutional settings, providing psychotherapy and art therapy to adults, teens, families and couples from a variety of backgrounds. Personal difficulties, marital and family life and parent-child relationship issues are framed within the Sytemic and Humanistic approach. Within this view an individual or a group is affected by mutual relational dynamics. The relational field is put at the forefront. Mylène also has a special interest in helping clients address post-traumatic stress through a body-oriented approach called Somatic Experiencing® (SE). This approach supports the regulation of the nervous system by integrating a special attention to sensations. Mylène can also integrate art therapy interventions to allow the creative resources to unfold.
